little miss spider
This wonderful tale is about a spider who is alone without a mother to care for her until Brave Beetle Betty comes into her life and swoops her up. This book is especially great for young children to simply plant seeds around the concept that mothering and parenting in general is not limited to being related biologically. It is possible to become a family in other ways, and when love triumphs, it's a beautiful thing indeed.
