I so enjoyed this recent opportunity to share about anxiety and hope with the local women's ministry Gather and Grow group at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church on 3.04.24.

workshops

A conversation about mental health & wellness

3.24.24

I am looking forward to this opportunity to gather with youth and parents to talk about mental health and wellness. We will explore both relevant mental health concepts as well as practical considerations for seeking support.

The God that makes a difference when we are anxious

3.04.24

What a privilege it was to gather with this group of women to talk about anxiety as an emotion, practical ways to cope with it, and how to hold onto hope in the midst of it.

the life-giving practice of reading

11.09.23

I enjoyed facilitating a conversation focused on well-being and how reading can support and strengthen overall wellness. We built on the idea that reading is a life-giving coping skill, providing numerous benefits when incorporated into someone's life rhythms.

Coping Skills for Stress and Anxiety

10.10.23

Many of us can relate to the experience of feeling stressed and anxious. It's part of being human, and yet our experience can be mitigated and navigated through differently with some insight, support, and tools. In this class, we delved into dynamics of stress and anxiety and then shifted to exploring together tangible coping skills to help with both stress and anxiety.

Soul Care

10.03.23

Elizabeth so loved the opportunity to meet with the local MOPS group for a workshop on Soul Care. Together we explored how to tend, care, and attune to the soul in the midst of all the hard work and pouring our that parenting entails. We linked the reality that in caring for ourselves well, we are more able to pour out and care for others.

Mental health and wellness and relationships

9.19.23

Elizabeth partnered with Karen Fortuno, a marriage counselor in Chattanooga, for this workshop that took place at the Mountain Arts Community Center (MACC) in Signal Mountain, Tennessee. It was hosted by Signal Mountain Social Services. You can access a recording of this workshop through visiting Social Mountain Social Services facebook page.

Attachment Styles 101

8.21.23

This class was all about relationships, both with ourselves and other people. We explored attachment styles together and particularly focused on the concept of secure attachment as something that we can move towards, which ultimately can help us feel more safe and connected both to ourselves and other people.

Living Grief

6.26.23

Living grief shows up in our lives as profound loss and adjustment, yet it is often not named and validated, making it more difficult to cope with. In this class, we explored together the concept of living grief. In addition, Elizabeth provided support and strategies for navigating in and through the living grief experience.

self-compassion

4.11.23

Elizabeth met with an incredible group of moms and facilitated an interactive workshop on self-compassion, which is all about engaging more kindly with ourselves especially in terms of our inner narratives.
